Location: Woking, United Kingdom is the world’s leading provider of airport pick up services. We provide a wide range of great value point to point pick up and drop off services to over 3 million happy customers per year. We operate through our 2 brands: HoppaGo, our B2B business where this role will sit, and (previously, our B2C brand. 

We facilitate through technology a service in over 750 locations in over 115 countries providing private, taxi, shuttle, coach, boat and helicopter transfer and chauffeur services, covering 7,500 destinations, working with over 200 partners globally. Through our responsive web sites and app, we sell in 36 different languages around the world. We are growing our business rapidly both in our home markets and internationally and we offer nothing less than a 5-star service. 

Job Content & Scope:

Working closely with the Sales Director, you’ll be responsible for working across the entire digital marketing mix to support sales growth and drive brand awareness online. 

The Role:

As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible developing and winning new business across the UK and International B2B travel markets. You will work closely with the Sales team and Sales Director to develop business development strategies and to deliver against agreed revenue plans.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

=       Achieve defined monthly, quarterly and annual sales and total transaction value (TTV) targets.

=       Develop and execute a sales plan to target key prospective accounts.

=       Identify, evaluate and prioritise new business opportunities, using a variety of networking, contacting and research methods.

=       Accurately forecast projected sales revenue

=       Effectively capture and communicate customer requirements internally, completing timely handovers of closed sales to the account management team.

=       Collaborate with other internal departments (finance, operations, product, HR) where necessary to resolve other client-related matters.

=       Consistently use the CRM database to manage activity and results, using reporting to analyse performance and identify areas of self-improvement.

=       Communicate with leadership on all relevant issues in a timely way and deliver reports/analysis requested by management in a thorough and complete manner

=       Minimum 3 years' solid track record of successful B2B development/sales

=       Fluency in English (written and verbal).

=       A passion for travel and the travel industry.

=       Strong communication and persuasive skills.

=       Ability to develop relationships at a strategic level.

=       Ability to conduct presentations in a confident/engaging manner.

=       Ability to multi-task and communicate effectively in a high paced environment.

=       Ability to engage with various levels of staff and management.

=       Proficient skills in Microsoft Office programs and CRM systems

=       Self-motivated, independent with strong interpersonal skills and a hunger for success

Skills & experience the Business Development Manager must have; 

=       Currently in a B2B field sales role with a minimum of 5+ years track record

=       Proven experience in delivering against sales targets consistently year on year

=       A true hunter mentality to business development.

=       Demonstrate conscious competence, knowledge and influence of the sales cycle

=       Travel B2B market sector experience with a technology related background

=       Well established and polished customer facing sales skills building long term relationships

=       Commercially astute with a sound understanding of business processes and an abundance of common sense

=       Competent communicator and negotiator with proven ability to actively and effectively communicate and engage customers and internal stakeholders at all technical and commercial organisational levels

=       Confident presenter of information to small or large audiences
